It takes a while for the game to clarify these differences, but it comes down to something I think a lot of people with anxiety suffer from: How you should present yourself to the world. He's clean shaven, wears glasses and a blazer, and is calmer. The center of this setpiece, however, is Other Sam (who never gets a name in the game beyond "Him"). Source: Dontnod Entertainment (Image credit: Source: Dontnod Entertainment) Sam is at the core of the game, but he's not only unlikeable, but the game makes some serious missteps to make him the protagonist, leaving a lot of elements behind in the process. However, while Twin Mirror is visually appealing and presents a new way to sway the decisions of your character, therefore adding to the Dontnod canon, the actual meat of the game leaves a lot to be desired. The ‘Ask’ option allows you to turn to Sam’s Double for advice on what to say. It helps if you select the option that makes you empathize, admit to being wrong, or say sorry to Anna, but you can choose whatever you like apart from the ‘Ask’ option. At various points, you can choose one of four dialogue options using your Xbox or PlayStation controller’s right-hand buttons. The main thing you have to think about here is not asking for advice from Sam’s Double. It’s during this conversation that you can unlock the Smooth Talker achievement. You bring her a drink to calm her nerves and, once you do, you have an overdue heart-to-heart with your ex. If you haven’t completed the second major clue puzzle yet, turn back as there are story spoilers from now on.Īfter Sam and Anna head to the latter’s home, which has been broken into, Anna has an emotional breakdown. This achievement or trophy encounter takes place in the second half of Twin Mirror. To get your hands on Smooth Talker, you need to talk to Anna without asking for any advice. As these secret achievements and trophies are hidden from view, you might not know what this particular reward relates to.
